Curt bought what is now known as Hall Stock Farm in the fall of 1979. He started his herd with 6 head of commercial black cows and predominantly bought Angus bulls. He instilled in his boys the love for livestock and appreciation of a long days work. Leann grew up on a large diversified operation just outside of Antler, ND. She taught elementary students for 43 years, 35 of which were spent in the 3rd Grade room in Berthold. Now both retired, Curt and Leann are still actively involved and living at the ranch. They enjoy Lake Metigoshe in the summer, Bison Football in the fall and visiting their grandchildren whenever time allows.
The original visionary for Hall Stock Farm, Zac started his herd in 1997 with the purchase of an Angus female from the Brooks Ranch in Bowman, ND. Zac got his undergrad in Animal Science from NDSU and Master's Degree from University of Nebraska in Reproductive Physiology. Zac currently works for Zoetis and owns Forte Livestock where he specializes in sale and show photography.
Noah graduated from NDSU with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and Master's Degree in Meat Science. While obtaining his Master's Noah met Katlin while she was working towards her undergraduate degree in Accounting at Concordia. Katlin later received her Master's degree from Kansas State in Agribusiness. Noah is currently the Chief Operating Officer for UltraSource USA and Katlin is the Retail Pricing Manager for Cargill Animal Nutrition - North America. They live on an acreage on the north side of Kansas City with their three boys Eli, Isaiah, and Emmett and a new barn that has been busy with both swine and goat 4-H projects.
Levi graduated from NDSU with a degree in Agribusiness and minor in Animal Science in December of 2012. Laura, an SDSU grad, and Levi met unexpectedly in 2019 at the Black Hills Stock Show, an annual trip for their family now. Levi is the Chief Operating Officer for Horizon Resources. Levi, Laura, and Colton live just outside of Williston, ND.
Ian earned a degree in Animal Science from NDSU in 2013. After managing a nationally competitive show string for a year Ian returned home. He now owns and operates Rafter H Ag Enterprises LLC providing a plethora of services for registered producers in the Upper Midwest. While back in Minot, he met Morgan who was working for ADM's canola crush plant in Velva, ND. A Nebraska transfer and Cornhusker grad with a degree in Agribusiness, Morgan currently works as a Merchandiser for Berthold Farmers Elevator . They live in Minot, ND with their daughters, Ryan & Jacey, and are active on the ranch daily.
