While we realize there's a certain stigma around "show cattle" we strive to keep our cattle functional. Anything that steps foot into the show ring is still held to the same standards as the rest of our herd. Production comes first, no exceptions.
"707" didn't go out many times, but when she did she caught everyone's attention. She was Champion Angus at the North Dakota Junior Beef Expo and ND State Fair Junior Show which led to her winning Grand Champion Angus Heifer in the ND Junior Points Show Association.

This March born female came to us from the prestigious Six Mile ranch in Canada. Known mainly for their Red Angus, Levi surprised us all when he made the trip up for their sale and found a black heifer he fell in love with. Needless to say, he found the 2017 Agribition Angus Calf Champion and brought her back home to Berthold. Huge boned, long spined, awesome middled and super extended in her front 3rd. Be looking to see her name in the pedigree for our future shows and sales.

There is one word to describe HABR Miss Alabama A337, “uncommon.” She has always been different, and we love her for it! It’s easy to get caught staring as she possesses a stunning presence which has captured and held the attention of judges and bystanders and she claimed titles nearly every time out. “Miss Alabama” has incredible feet and impressive substance, width and shape from any angle while being uniquely flat shouldered and feminine. As a homo black, homo polled 3/4-blood the mating options are truly endless.

We knew we had a special one on our hands from the time this guy was a little calf. A lot of miles are put on looking at sire groups and strategizing for bulls to use in our program. It was a good feeling to find one who was so good phenotypically and uniquely combined an outstanding set of EPDs. And he was standing in our bull pen… You will drive miles upon miles to find a bull better designed than HABR Boomtown B434 and he possesses EPDs in the top 3% of the breed in six traits. His dam knocked it out of the park her first time out and we are very excited to experience the progress from this genetic line of SimAngus cattle.

Essi's unique build had attracted our attention since birth. Moderate, yet long and so attractive about her front third. We expected her to be a favorite regardless of a potential show career or life as a replacement female. Vaquero sired possibly the largest single group of females that have ever been kept at our place in his rookie season and are developing into correct made, ideal uddered females.
